I have read a good chunk of Machine Gun Kelly's Last Stand and so far it has given me some background information on the victim Charles Urschel and the book has now started to get into the actual kidnapping. With the law enforcements being as dysfunctional as it is at this time i believe that Machine Gun Kelly and his gang will get away with it and receive their ransom of $200,000.
It was Saturday night on July 22, 1993 and Mr and Mrs Urschel were sitting with their friends Mr and Mrs Jarret playing a game of bridge. It was nearly midnight when the two unmasked abductors came into the Urschel home which had no security and took Mr Urschel and Mr Jarret. surprisingly the kidnappers did not know what Urschel looked like so they were forced to take both of them, but later while driving they figured out which one was Urschel and they let Jarret go. This makes me believe that they will not kill Urschel either. The Kidnappers only want money and if they were bad people they would have killed Mr Jarret instead of letting him go. This is also another reason why i think they will get away with the kidnapping.
