"The curious incident of the dog in the night-time"

When we first decided to read "The curious incident of the dog in the night-time" i was not happy at all. I thought this was going to be another boring book and a waste of my time, but once i started reading it i really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the book until the end. I kind of lost interest in the end but overall i am pleased with the book and i believe the author did a great job. He really made it interesting and enjoyable to read.
Although this book was fun to read it was definitely written differently from the other books i have read in the past. The way he describes Christopher throughout the book i believe was accurate. and the way it is narrated was different but it was also a good change from other books. The way he describes Christopher kind of makes him seem normal and you forget that he has aspergers.
I also enjoyed seeing Christopher's growth throughout the book, in the beginning he could barely do anything by himself and he would always freak out on people but by the end of the book he is able to travel to London and overcome some of his fears. When i first started reading i never thought that Christopher would be able to do anything like going to London but the author does a great job of showing his progress throughout the book and showing how he started as a scared kid and turned into a brave young man.
In the end i can proudly say that this book was not a waste of my time and was a great read. I would have never picked this book up if i was looking in a library and i wouldn't have known what i missed. There is  one bad thing i have to say about this book though and that is the ending. I did not enjoy the end at all. It is very drawn out like when he is at the train station sitting on the bench it seemed like it took forever to finish the book. The first half was great and went by very quickly but i can not say the same for the ending, but overall i am glad i read this book and would recommend it to anyone.
