Machine Gun Kelly

     The book i chose to read is Machine Gun Kelly's last stand. i chose this book because I like to reading autobiographies because they contain facts and real life events. I also chose to read this book because it is about the American history. Also I read a book that is very similar and i loved it. The Life and Death of "Pretty Boy" Floyd is set in the same time period and is also about American gangsters. Although it focuses on Pretty Boy Floyd it also talks about "Baby Face" Nelson and John dillinger. If this book is anything like The Life and Death of Pretty Boy Floyd than i am sure i will enjoy it.
      this book takes place in 1930-1940 this is also known as the great depression. during this time gangsters and mobs started to run wild. notorious gangsters such as John Dillinger, "pretty boy" Floyd, Bonnie Parker, Clyde Barrow, and "Baby Face" Nelson started to emerge, mobsters such as AL Capone also found there start in this time period. This time period has another name and it is considered to be the Gangster era. This is a time where gangsters imposed their will on the public and pretty much got whatever they wanted, and the law had a hard time controlling them.
